Clean & Recycling

Overview

The Recycling project, which commenced in April 2020, plays a pivotal role in promoting environmental sustainability within the camp. This initiative is brilliantly designed to encourage residents to participate in recycling efforts by offering a tangible reward system.

Daily, we successfully collect approximately 10,000 empty bottles through two strategically positioned collection stations inside the camp. This not only aids in keeping our environment clean but also instills a sense of responsibility among the camp residents towards recycling.

In exchange for their recycled bottles, residents are presented with various essential items tailored to meet their individual needs. The rewards range from cold water and assorted juices to nutritious food items like milk, potatoes, and onions. Additionally, hygiene products are also available as part of the exchange program.

This innovative approach not only addresses environmental concerns but also ensures that basic necessities are more accessible to the camp’s inhabitants, making recycling an integral part of their daily lives.
