A researcher on migration and illegal pushbacks offered this insight into the reaction towards the people who were transfered from Lesvos, only to arrive in Athens without anywhere to go: “Yesterday, #Refugeesgr were transfered from Lesvos to Athens — part of the policy to decongest Moria. The Greek government made no provision for their housing in Athens. #Refugeesgr ended up in Victoria Square. They asked to meet the Mayor of Athens, K. Bakoyannis (nephew to the PM, incidentally). The police were called to evacuate the square. According to the migration ministry some #Refugeesgr were moved to mainland camps.
